Giro d’Italia for amateurs

In June I’ll be taking on the Giro d’Italia, the very same the pros race, with this years route covering 3496km in 21 stages. A little maths indicates an average of 170km per day with around 2,400m of climbing per day. Mmm a little close to riding 18 Etapes back to back. The Pros race this, we’ll just be riding to survive the distance and the climbs.

My ride is in aid of Prostate Cancer, donations can be made online.

  1. Peta, you are my new hero… are doing fantastic….Milan is calling, you should be able to smell the coffee soon….God speed….stay upright…love+hugs Trev+Luce xx

    • Thanks Trev and Luce – made it to Milan on a massive high having finished up the Finestre, man what an awesome trip and I’m sure in a few weeks I won’t remember any of the lows, unless I read the blogs of course. I survived and am now off to ride London2Paris with the Slaters’, there goes my chances of winning the pink jersey 😉
